Generally speaking you can take a soft-top Jeep through a car wash but there are a few things you should keep in mind.
First if your Jeep has any aftermarket parts or accessories be sure to check with the manufacturer to see if they are safe to use in a car wash.
Second avoid high-pressure washes and use a gentler setting if possible.
Third make sure to completely dry the Jeep afterward to avoid any water spots or mildew.
Finally be sure to inspect the Jeep’s soft top afterward for any damage that may have occurred during the car wash.
Are Soft-Top Jeeps Waterproof?
Technically yes soft-top Jeeps are waterproof.
However this does not mean that they are 100% waterproof and that you will never get any water inside the Jeep if it rains or you drive through a puddle.
There are a few things that you can do to help keep your Jeep dry though.
First make sure that all the seams on the top are sealed and that there are no holes or tears.
Second use a waterproofing spray on the outside of the top.
This will help to keep water from seeping in through the fabric.
Finally if you know it is going to rain try to park your Jeep under a tree or another type of shelter to keep it as dry as possible.
